Nice, the first shot looks like a funnel is about to form, when I was building Subs I used to go to Newport Beach, R.I. during lightning storms and watch the strikes hitting the water and the white crests of the waves washing up on the beach. Of I was in my car but those memories would've been nice to share had I been into photography like you fine members are. Maybe I'll break out the ol' Cybershot 12.1 I have and see what kind of mischief I can get into with it :whistle: :whistle:

As to the turtle: From Wikipedia....
The red-eared slider (Trachemys scripta elegans) is a semiaquatic turtle belonging to the family Emydidae. It is a subspecies of pond slider. It is the most popular pet turtle in the United States and also popular in the rest of the world. It is native only to the southern United States, but has become established in other places because of pet releases and has become an invasive species in many introduced areas, like California, where it outcompetes the native western pond turtle.

The snake is what's referred to around here as a Water Snake.
Non-poisionous.
I looked it up and it more closely resembles the Black Racer(Coluber constrictor), or the Black Rat Snake.
Judging by the habitat, propensity for climbing, and general bad attitude, I'd say it was a Black Racer.
The Blue Racer is a northern snake.

I knew what the turtle was.
Considered a pest around here.
A very destructive species.
They're my favorite target when I'm walking the canals, doing some shooting.
I do my part, to help keep the population thinned out. :)

Didn't know what the lizard was.

I have some, but they were scanned and the quality significantly reduced by the time they were of a sort that could show on a webpage. The pictures themselves were taken several years ago, most with a snapshot camera. I have more recent photos with a good camera, but again it's a film camera and I don't have access to a scanner.
